Supported Fish

How to do it: 

Lie on your back with your legs extended. Place a bolster or pillow under your head, and then place another one in the space between your shoulder blades. Rest your arms at your sides with your palms facing up. Gently press your feet into the floor and lift your chest and head off of the bolster. Stay here for five to ten breaths, then release and repeat. 

Legs Up the Wall 

This pose is a great way to relax after a long day. It helps to calm the mind and soothe the nervous system, which can promote better sleep. 

How to do it: 

Sit with your back against a wall and extend your legs up the wall. Place your palms on your lower abdomen or at your sides. Stay here for five to ten minutes, then release and repeat. 

Child's Pose 

This pose is great for releasing tension in the hips, lower back, and shoulders. It also helps to calm the mind and promote better sleep. 

How to do it: 

Kneel on the floor with your big toes touching each other and your knees hip-width apart. Touch your forehead to the floor, then extend your arms out in front of you. Stay here for five to ten breaths, then release and repeat. 

Cat-Cow Pose 

This pose is a great way to warm up your spine before bed. It helps to stretch the back and neck and releases tension in the hips and lower back. 

How to do it: 

Begin on all fours with your hands directly below your shoulders and your knees directly below your hips. Inhale as you arch your back and look up, then exhale as you round your spine and tuck your chin. Continue moving between Cat and Cow for five to ten breaths. 

Bridge Pose 

This pose is great for stretching the chest, neck, and lower back. It also helps to calm the mind and promote better sleep. 

How to do it: 

Lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor and your knees bent. Place your hands on the floor beside you. Press into your feet and lift your hips off of the floor. Hold for five to ten breaths, then release and repeat. 

Spinal Twist 

This is another great pose for stretching the back and neck. It also helps to calm the mind and promote better sleep. 

How to do it: 

Lie on your back with both knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Place your right hand on the floor beside you and twist your torso to the left, placing your left hand on top of your right knee. Hold for five to ten breaths, then release and repeat on the other side.
